Same-day online consultation for uncomplicated urinary tract infections. Antibiotics prescribed and sent to your pharmacy where clinically appropriate.
If you have a fever, flank/back pain, vomiting, blood in urine, are pregnant, have recurrent UTIs, an indwelling catheter, or are male — these require in-person assessment because of the higher risk of upper-tract infection or alternative diagnosis.
Nitrofurantoin or trimethoprim are the usual first-line options for uncomplicated UTI in Ireland. Choice depends on your allergies, kidney function, and local resistance patterns.
Most uncomplicated UTIs respond to a 3-day antibiotic course.
We follow Irish antimicrobial guidelines — only when antibiotics are warranted.
Hydration, urinary alkalinisers, when to escalate to ED.
Same-day video and phone consultations across Ireland.

A sick note and a fit-to-work certificate certify opposite things — that you are unfit for work, and that you are fit to return. Each needs its own clinical assessment, so they cannot both be issued from the same consultation. If you need both, please book two separate appointments. Booking this consultation intending to obtain both does not entitle you to a refund.
