DoxOnCall vs Webdoctor — Online Doctor Prices and Hours Compared

Webdoctor and DoxOnCall both connect you with Irish Medical Council registered doctors by video. The biggest differences are how the price changes through the week and what each offers beyond a consultation.

Which one suits you?

Webdoctor may suit you if…

you want a prescription through a questionnaire without a call (€25), an in-person appointment in Dublin, or a yearly plan because you see a doctor several times a year.

DoxOnCall may suit you if…

you want one price whenever you book — €34.99 on a weekday evening or a Sunday, where Webdoctor charges €59 — or a slot as early as 07:00 or as late as 23:30, any day of the week.

Either works if…

you need a routine weekday consultation with an IMC-registered doctor, a sick cert for work, or a repeat prescription after speaking to a doctor.

What any Irish online doctor should give you

  • An IMC-registered doctor. You can check any doctor's registration on the Medical Council's public register at medicalcouncil.ie.
  • A clear price before you book, including what happens if you need a follow-up.
  • A named company you can contact — the business responsible for your records under GDPR.
  • Honesty about limits. Online care is not for emergencies: chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, signs of stroke or heavy bleeding — call 999 or 112.

Webdoctor offers more ways to buy care (plans, questionnaires, a clinic). DoxOnCall keeps it simple: one flat price, video or phone, seven days a week. Prefer to compare every service at once? See online doctor services in Ireland compared.
